Cadence Group would like to honor women’s contributions to Information Governance, Health IT, and all other industries in celebration of Women’s History Month!

March is a time to celebrate Women’s History and formally thank all of the women who have fought for equality and opportunity. As a woman-owned business, Cadence Group is proud to honor the female leaders who have made large contributions to women’s history, our company, and the community. We support the ongoing effort to reshape the perception of how women are viewed in life and the workplace; we commend women in business as they take the lead.

In celebration of Women’s History Month, we are doing our part by recognizing the accomplishments of some outstanding women leaders on our team. These women have continuously tackled challenges and achieved successes in their careers and during their time at Cadence Group. We look forward to watching them in their success and are continuously inspired by their ethics, talents, and drive.

Women's History Month Employee Spotlight #1: Mary Beth Weaver

Employee Spotlight #1:

Mary Beth Weaver – VP of DC Services

Mary Beth Weaver has over 20 years of professional experience as a Records and Information Management consultant with extensive experience in federal records. She provides Cadence Group’s clients expertise in Electronic Records Cleanup, FOIA Records Management, Hotline and Docket Supervision, Records Facility Storage and Project Management.  She is responsible for managing our Washington DC area portfolio of records management, library, and SharePoint information management contracts in addition to serving as a consultant.

After her first year with the company, she was awarded a Top Shelf Award for Sales support. Wasting no time, she was promoted to Vice President of DC Operations in her second year. We are honored to celebrate her achievements, and thank her for representing strong businesswomen across the nation. Mary Beth writes, “Cadence Group has encouraged me to be a thought leader in my profession. In the five years I have worked at the company I have presented at the ARMA annual conference nine times, as well as five times for various local chapters of ARMA, and twice at NAGARA Regional Seminars.”

Carmen Martinez – Senior VP

Carmen Martinez joined Cadence Group over 6 years as a CPA from Puerto Rico. She is an incredibly skilled and committed member of the team who leads our back-office operations. During her time here, she has positively represented Cadence Group, displaying vast amounts of leadership and confidence in her role.

Cadence Group is happy to celebrate Carmen as she leads our Financial and Human Resource line of operation. Thank you, Carmen, for your constant efforts and drive towards success. Congratulations on being one of the leading women of Cadence Group.

Employee Spotlight #3:

Lori Durand – VP of Web Services

Lori Durand serves as CEO of Cadence Group’s affiliate and takes the lead for Web Services contracts. She has also consulted at the Center for Disease Control and Prevention for over 20 years, providing web design, analytics, and digital communication. She is both efficient and effective in her management of program resources with a strong work ethic, resulting in timely dissemination of products to different audiences in a variety of formats.

With over 25 years at Cadence Group, Lori eventually assumed the role of CEO for Cadence Group Associates, Inc. in addition to her hands on commitment to our clients. She is an incredibly talented and committed member of the team. Cadence Group is happy to celebrate Lori as she continues to lead us with her knowledge and skills in web and digital communication principles and practice. Congratulations, Lori, on being one of the leading women of Cadence Group. Lori writes “I appreciate this recognition, and I also celebrate the contributes of all the women on our team some of which have been committed to Cadence Group and the clients they serve for over 15 years.”

Tina Baker – President and CEO

Tina Teree Baker, IGP, has led the Cadence Group, an information management firm with 60+ employees, as President since 1988. She has over 25 years of expertise in creating and managing efficient, compliant, and adaptable information governance programs across a broad range of industries (commercial and government) of varying sizes and missions. She is a certified Information Governance Professional and a systems architect.

Tina regularly speaks on topics, such as information and technology governance, sustainable compliance, electronically stored information management, federal contracting and small business. She is a Board Member for Women Impacting Public Policy (WIPP) and has supported the efforts of WIPP to improve opportunities for women owned businesses for over 15 years. She is even a past recipient of the Enterprising Woman of the Year Award. Thank you, Tina, for your hard work and dedication as a woman business leader in the community. Tina writes “I’m continually impressed with the talent of these women leaders, the small women owned businesses that we mentor, and with the resilience of the women’s small business community, especially during the pandemic. I want to thank WIPP and other small business associations in their amazing efforts to educate and support all of us as we met the challenges of this past year.”
