November 19, 2015 – Cadence Group Associates, Inc. (Cadence Group) is pleased to announce it has been chosen to provide Reference, Instructional and Special Projects Librarian Services  to the Gorgas Memorial Library (GML) at the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research (WRAIR). Cadence Group will be working with GML to improve on existing library services by combining the best practices of physical and electronic resource control, access, and end-user education and training with strategic implementation of emerging Web technologies, digital preservation and knowledge-management practices.

The WRAIR conducts biomedical research that is responsive to Department of Defense and US Army requirements and delivers lifesaving products including knowledge, technology and medical material. The Gorgas Memorial Library’s mission is to support the efforts of WRAIR and Naval Medical Research Center (NMRC) () to perform their research. A key goal is to make relevant literature resources available by providing timely access to biomedical information regardless of original format or location. GML resources and services are available to scientists and staff located in Silver Spring and in the associated overseas labs.

With over 25 years of experience in government contracting and library services, Cadence Group will be bringing its expertise to the table to truly streamline the Gorgas Memorial Library’s reference and training capacities.
