Tina Teree Baker will be speaking on federal contract teaming at the event as part of the “Teaming to Win Bigger Projects” panel with industry peers on May 18, 2015.
May 5, 2015 – Cadence Group is pleased to announce that Tina Teree Baker, ERMM, President, CEO and founder of Cadence Group, will be sharing her insights and expertise on federal contract teaming at the 11th Alliance South Small Business Procurement Fair on May 13, 2015. The fair will be held at the Georgia International Convention Center in College Park. The session at which Ms. Baker is speaking, “Teaming to Win Bigger Projects,” will be held from 9:15am to 10:30am, and the panel will include other industry subject matter experts from the US Army Corps of Engineers and CDC. The workshops will be followed by a trade show and a MatchMaking session that promises to connect small business representatives with over 40 prime contractors and government agencies in attendance.
Ms. Baker brings to the table over 20 years of success procuring federal prime contracts, many of which were achieved through teaming with strategically chosen partners. Her achievements in tapping into the nearly $100 billion of federal contracts set aside for small businesses have allowed her and her company to increase profits and create jobs. At the event, she will offer tips on how to effectively team with other businesses and organizations to procure government contracts and other projects.
Ms. Baker has a master’s-level designation in electronic records management, is an honors graduate of Georgia State University and has served as an Executive Officer of Cadence Group since 1988. Cadence Group has been working with federal agencies since 1992 and their client roster includes multiple public health and financial agencies like the Department of Defense, the Department of Justice, NASA and the EPA. Although much of their work has been with federal agencies, they have also worked with many agencies at the local and state level. Cadence Group is a GSA Schedule 70 contract holder, prime and subcontractor for NASA, DOJ, CDC, FDIC, Federal Mine Safety & Health Review Commission, and DHS; and, teaming partner on several government-wide vehicles, including: EPA-IMCS3, Navy SeaPort-e and NIH CIO-SP3.
