January, 2009 – Cadence Group is proud to announce that CEO Tina Baker has been chosen by Enterprising Women, the magazine for women business owners, to receive the 2009 Enterprising Women of the Year Award.

Ms. Baker will be honored at the 7th Annual Enterprising Women of the Year Awards Celebration to be held on March 11-13, 2009, at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Florida.

Chosen from numerous applicants, Ms. Baker was selected for her success as a female entrepreneur and business owner. She graduated with honors from Georgia State University and has served as an Executive Officer of Cadence Group since its founding in 1988.

Ms. Baker has over 23 years of experience in information management, successfully performing as Project Manager, System Architect, Systems Analyst and Knowledge Management Consultant. Known for her ability to streamline business processes, Ms. Baker is a creative thinker offering expertise in optimizing content and intelligence purchases to achieve a sustainable competitive advantage. Her in-depth knowledge of information architecture and technology solutions and her experience in information content organization across multiple disciplines give Ms. Baker superior skills to create efficient and adaptable information management solutions.

At Cadence Group, Ms. Baker’s role ranges from working with clients and prospects to providing the vision and strategic direction for the company and promoting the internal culture and workplace environment that is so important to the associates at Cadence Group.

Ms. Baker holds an ERM (Electronic Records Management) Master Certification from AIIM (The Enterprise Content Management Association). The Master Certification is the highest awarded by AIIM and is based on global best practices for planning and implementing ERM solutions.

Ms. Baker has served on the board of GlobalEXECWomen and has a National Partner role with Women Impacting Public Policy. She is active in ARMA International and The Brain Trust, an organization of CEOs, and has served on the NAWBO CEO Roundtable. Community service includes leadership roles in various youth service organizations. Ms. Baker speaks at conferences and sits on panels such as the Atlanta Business Chroniclediscussion on “Overtime Pay” and the Global Executive Women panel on “Business Intelligence: IT’s Ticket to the Board Room.” She has been quoted in EContent Magazine,Atlanta Woman Magazine and KM World.
