Cadence Group successfully facilitated and completed an instructional and working session for a federal agency to develop an organizational taxonomy. As there were different directory structures across all business units, their ability to find, share, and store information was hindered. Working with their technology group, we developed an organizational taxonomy in order to meet their goals of:

1. Reorganizing and migrating the content of both their internal and external websites into one unified taxonomic structure, and

2. Developing metadata standards and applying metadata to existing content.

With these goals in mind, Cadence Group assisted in the creation and implementation of an institution-wide taxonomy to achieve more efficient storage and retrieval of agency content. The taxonomy developed was used for both internal and external (public) content and included all resource formats (images, documents, news, forms).
