Once upon a time the disciplines of records management and library services were delegated to a few diligent souls, keeping track of books and files in the windowless basement and providing the location of information as requested.

Usher in the information age and everything changes.  Today, in addition to the physical information, organizations have big data, overloaded email servers and spend hours finding ways to strategically avoiding hackers.  Add in ever-increasing compliance factors and the risk of litigation, it is amazing how complicated the discipline has become.

Organizational excellence is dependent on finding efficiencies—working faster, not harder.  Never before has the need for operational innovation been more important.  This new standard of excellence moves beyond Six Sigma and ISO designations; it must include knowing what intellectual assets you have at your disposal, how to access them and protecting them for the long term viability of the organization.

There are amazing changes happening in the records and information management industry today and Cadence Group is thrilled to be a leader in the movement.  We created this blog as a way to share insights, industry knowledge and best practices with the people who need it.  We often share these thoughts one-on-one, but establishing this platform allows us the ability to share with a broader audience.

Our team is focused on providing real world solutions for organizations to help them achieve excellence – we enable efficient information management.  We hope that you continue to follow us as we discuss how to bring transformation to companies just like yours.
